Our drama classes include a range of games and activities that help build friendships, confidence, communication and performance skills. Students take part in regular presentations and perform classic and modern plays and stories, poems, monologues and even sometimes work they have devised themselves. Students have the option to take part in LAMDA exams once every 2 years.
Our musical theatre classes start with singing and physical warm ups that help develop their singing and performance techniques. Students learn classic and modern musical theatre songs (and sometimes songs from other genres) with accompanying movement/dancing and character portrayal. Students have the options to take part in LAMDA exams once every 2 years.
Our ballet classes aim to engage children in the art, wonder and technique of ballet. We follow the British Ballet Organization syllabus and students have the option to take exams. Classes use a range of props make exercises exciting and ballet stories to spark imagination.
A highly energetic and dynamic class! Students learn funky moves to the latest chart songs. All classes start with a good warm up and include important street technique and movements. Classes focus on creating dances and students will have the opportunity to develop their own choreography.
Our tap classes will include a range of exercises and sequences to develop students’ tap dance technique and vocabulary. Classes will focus on learning popular tap steps and creating group dances.
Classes include a mix of syllabus (NATD) and free work. Students learn and create dancers for our Christmas and summer performances and have the option to take part in exams if they are ready. The class incorporates a range of contemporary styles including Graham, Cunningham and Release.
