Abi Smith

Head of Drama -

As well as acting, Abigail is an established voiceover artist. She is a regular voice for MTV, as well as Capital FM and Kiss FM. She also recently completed a Disney Channel programme, voicing the main character, which aired in both the UK and Ireland. During her time at Mountview, Abigail taught Drama at the Saturday School, which is where she found her love for teaching. She finds it incredibly rewarding and a lot of fun! Three years on, and Abi is delighted to still be teaching with Catch!

Abigail is a graduate from Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts, where she completed the BA(Hons) in Acting. Since leaving, she has gone on to play the lead role at St. James's Theatre, the main role in a feature film and been part of many high profile festivals. Abi loves having the opportunity to keep gaining experience on stage and screen.

Jonathan Whitlow

Upon relocating to London in September 2017, he has been teaching for Tiptoes & Tappers, Dramarama and Catch Creative. Jonathan is thrilled to be part of the Catch family! He is extremely passionate about teaching and hopes his high energy and quirky sense of humour provides engaging lessons that will inspire the next generation of performers.

Jonathan graduated from DLDC, Brisbane, with a Dip. Musical Theatre Performance & Commercial Dance (2006). Since then he has enjoyed a vibrant performance career both in theatre and corporate entertainment. In recent years, he has embraced the world of teaching, providing tuition in singing, drama, piano, and ballet/jazz/tap to students of all ages.

Heather Porte

Musical Theatre Teacher -


Heather is so excited to be a part of the Catch family and wants to provide engaging lessons with her fun, bubbly attitude! Heather believes that the arts are so important for children, no matter what they want to do when older, as it will build their confidence in general, plus flex their creative side of the brain!

Heather has graduated with a First from Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts, where she completed the BA(Hons) in Musical Theatre and in her final year played exciting roles such as Mrs Lovett in Sweeney Todd. She has been singing, dancing and acting from a very young age. As a recent graduate, she is currently auditioning for professional shows.


Vicky Moran

Drama Teacher -


She has facilitated theatre projects with communities all over the UK and internationally, working with companies such as: The Soho Theatre, The Old Vic, Theatre 503, Clean Break and Chickenshed. She is passionate the arts ability to enact positive change, and loves working with young people.

Vicky is a Theatre Director, Playwright, Facilitator/Teacher and Performance Artist. She trained at The University of Essex (BA Drama) before completing an MA in Applied Theatre at The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. She was Assistant Director at Cardboard Citizens and former WJCB Fellow in 2018-19.


Ughetta Pratesi

Dance Teacher -

Ughetta trained in England at Laine Theatre Arts in Ballet, Modern, Contemporary and Jazz, along with Musical Theatre, Drama and Singing, graduating with the National Diploma in Professional Dance, and went on to an extra year at Guilford School of Acting to gain a First Class BA (Hons) in Theatre.

 As a dancer, she's performed extensively in contemporary dance and physical theatre (Platform Theatre for Central Saint Martins, V&A, Brighton and Edinburgh Fringe, Avignon LeOff Festival, Robin Howard Theatre at The Place, ICA Theatre, RichMix), has worked on music videos, short and feature films (including Les Miserables, Universal Pictures).

As a choreographer and movement director she has works in the Uk and internationally, on theatre productions, music videos and films. Since 2016 she's the resident choreographer for City Academy Musical Theatre Companies and has worked on the following productions:"The Wedding Singer", "Guys and Dolls","Fame-the Musical" and "Legally Blonde" at the Polish Theatre and pantomines "Cinderella", "Dick Whittinghton", "Aladdin". Ughetta teaches in schools in and around London, both ballet, preparing students for ISTD and IDTA exams, and street dance and jazz, preparing kids for local and west end shows. She also teaches classes of contemporary/jazz at Pineapple Dance Studios in Covent Garden.
